The Central Pennsylvania Nonprofit Innovation Awards are like the Oscars for recognizing local nonprofit excellence in leadership, programs and marketing. At the 2021 Awards ceremony, Christian Churches United was awarded the Best Brand Identity/Unique Marketing Campaign award! We received the award for Joy To The Burg, our Christmas album the past two years which has raised funds to support our homelessness outreach efforts in Harrisburg. This award is shared by Sheldon Jones who had the vision for the project and has given project leadership, all the artists who contributed songs, Kari Hultman for her artwork and branding, and the key community leaders who developed partnerships and made connections. We also thank President Ski and HACC for hosting our first year concert, our project sponsors including the Rotary Club of Harrisburg, ABC27, Karns Grocery Stores, Jerkami Communications, McNees Wallace Nurick and many more. Additional thanks to all the retailers who have helped to sell the album, to Chloe Mack--our amazing Messiah University intern--for her website and social media work, to the many other volunteers who carried out a myriad of details, and to everyone who bought the album.
SPECIAL THANKS to the folks who opened and ran our winter shelters and other outreach to the homeless which were made possible by Joy To The Burg. This is something for us ALL to SAVOR and CELEBRATE.
